The oldest, Newstead Bridge, a 17th century three arched buttressed road bridge. Its boat shaped piers and symmetrical arches are decorated with round niches and carvings. It is now closed to road traffic and is a tranquil cycle route.

The modern road bridgethat carries the A68 runs alongside the old one.
