Team Consulting

A huge amount of organisational activity is carried on by people working in teams. All teams must function well if they are to achieve their collective task and deal with challenges; top teams in particular must be able to develop the most productive relationships if they are to provide essential leadership and a coherent direction to the rest of the organisation.

When I work with a team, my priority is to give close attention to the underlying dynamics of team members’ ways of communicating and relating to each other. I see my task as one of listening carefully and responding thoughtfully to the ‘here and now’ experience of the team as members explore communication, interconnecting roles and their expectations of each other.

I aim to provide an atmosphere in which each team member can:

"There were a number of difficulties in our team before your work with us, but things have improved greatly. There’s much more openness and we've really settled down. We've been able to cope with a big expansion in workload, and this is partly due to the way you helped us deal with some difficult questions."

"Your excellent facilitation skills and your ability to encourage individuals to self-reflect and to challenge their own beliefs and attitudes have provided us with a sound foundation on which to develop strong working relationships in our team."
